Michael (@psalidas) has a strong presence in the business world, serving for more than 15 years in high and C-Level positions both in the private and public sector. He is currently the co-founder and Managing Director of Crowdpolicy (www.crowdpolicy.com) which specializes in the design, development and implementation of crowd-involving projects, thus bridging the gap between organizations and the crowd. Crowdpolicy provides specialized consulting services and develops related information systems in the fields of civictech, fintech and open innovation. Furthermore, he is a founding member and a member of the Board of Directors of the Hellenic Blockchain Hub (www.blockchain.org.gr).

He has been involved in a wide range of organizations, institutions and start-ups in Greece and abroad. Indicatively, he has served as a Senior Consultant of the Vice President of the Greek Government in the fields of Public Information Systems (ICT) and Administrative Reform (2009-2012), Senior Consultant at Center for Renewable Energy Sources (2000 – 2004), Consultant at OPUS S.A., Internal Auditor at Information Society S.A., co-founder and CEO at Protia S.A. and PROTIAGLOBAL (Hong Kong) in the consumer electronics industry and, finally, as a researcher at the High Voltage Laboratory in Patras and PPC.

Michael holds a degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering of the University of Patras. He has also attended a program in Public Sector Management at the National School of Administration in France (École Nationale d’Administration, Paris) and two postgraduate courses: at the School of Engineering of the University of Patras as a PhD candidate and the International MBA of AUEB (Athens University of Economics and Business).

His main interests include the development of entrepreneurial mindset, the involvement of the crowd in processes and decision making, the development of innovation and its impact on traditional value chains and value-transfer technologies.
