George Panou is an experienced IT executive and entrepreneur. He leads Digital Innovation and Digital Transformation for more than 18 years for Financial Institutions-Banks, Large Enterprises and Public Sector in Greece & EMEA. He is currently leading the Digital Innovation & Digital Transformation for Mellon Group of Companies being responsible for developing digital strategies and delivering multi-channel solutions for a wide variety of clients and industries. George has served as a Judge at National Bank of Greece BeFinnovative program for Fintechs. He is a founding member and a member of the Board of Directors of the Hellenic Blockchain Hub, curator and presenter on Blockchain thought leadership in several events i.e. Decentralized 2018, Hellenic Blockchain Hub, 9th Mobile World Conference 2019 and Hellenic Management Association in Greece.
As an entrepreneur, he is the COO of ZENME an alternative center for Yoga & Pilates in the center of Athens. His research focus is related on Digital & Open Innovation Initiatives for enterprises, the development of new Digital Business Models, emerging Technologies like Blockchain and AI enabled Chatbots (cognitive computing), the impact of Digital Platforms and Ecosystems to companies and the economy in extent. George holds a Bachelors Degree in IT from Hellenic American University, (New Hampshire, USA) and a Master in Business Administration (MBA) from ALBA Graduate Business School.
