Project Scope and Objectives
The objective of the project is the further development of the CrowdApps platform, a suite of cloud-based applications widely used by Local Government Authorities to support their daily operations and improve their relationship with citizens and businesses. Within the project framework, the design, development, and integration of eight (8) new modules is foreseen, which will extend the platform’s capabilities by leveraging existing technical foundations, API architectures, and interoperability frameworks, as well as Crowdpolicy’s accumulated experience in delivering solutions for public sector organizations.
Additionally, the project includes the development of a new variant of the suite under the name “CrowdApps for SMEs,” aimed at offering similar digital capabilities to small and medium-sized enterprises. This version will address needs such as process organization, compliance management, ESG indicator monitoring, and performance optimization.
The implementation of the new modules aims to demonstrate the technical and commercial feasibility of investing in the expansion of a platform that has already proven its reliability and effectiveness. A central goal is to show that the proposed products can meet the real needs of stakeholders with low levels of digital maturity or limited infrastructure. At the same time, the project seeks to assess the commercial potential of these solutions in new target groups (such as SMEs), taking into account the growing demand for digital tools that are user-friendly, web-accessible, and compliant with modern requirements for security, interoperability, and scalability.
The new modules are expected to include functionalities related to urban mobility management, environmental indicator monitoring, citizen participation, as well as subsystems supporting administrative and operational processes.
The project is part of a broader strategic framework aimed at promoting the digital transformation of public and private organizations, improving service quality, and strengthening local and operational resilience. By leveraging cloud technologies and data management platforms, the project seeks to optimize stakeholders’ daily operations through automation, real-time information, and intelligent decision-support mechanisms. Additionally, it integrates features related to energy efficiency, sustainability, and ESG goals tracking, empowering end-users to monitor and document their performance.
The final outcome is expected to contribute to the creation of modern, customizable, and commercially viable solutions applicable to a wide range of organizations and businesses at both national and international levels.
Business Objectives:
The business objectives of the project focus on establishing a stable and sustainable model for the exploitation of the new digital modules of the CrowdApps platform, with the prospect of achieving positive financial performance from the early stages of their deployment. The project’s strategy is based on generating recurring revenue through a combination of initial sales and annual support and maintenance subscriptions.
At the same time, the potential expansion of the platform into additional markets beyond municipalities and small and medium-sized enterprises is being explored—such as regional authorities, chambers of commerce, and international organizations.
The launch of the new applications is expected to begin immediately after their development is completed, targeting both existing clients already using the CrowdApps suite and new target groups. It is anticipated that there will be interest from municipalities seeking to expand their digital capabilities, as well as from businesses looking for practical digital transformation tools.
In addition, the strategy includes actions to develop partnerships with entities such as banks, local business associations, and collective organizations, leveraging existing initiatives and networks. The overall approach aims at the long-term utilization of all available products of the company, both in domestic and international markets.
